220 N. Ada Progress

The skyline of Chicago is changing—and Clayco is right at the heart of it. 220 N. Ada has officially topped out at 29 stories and 314 feet, standing tall in the Fulton Market District as a new landmark for what’s possible when design, construction, and community come together.

What was once a quiet warehouse site is now a game-changing mixed-use tower. Together with our partners at Shapack, CRG, and Ventana, we’re creating more than just a building—we’re creating momentum. Designed by the team at SOM, 220 N. Ada features bold lines, dark gray metal accents, and a grid of glass that doesn’t just impress—it performs. And with 308 next-generation rental units stacked above a dynamic, amenity-packed podium, we’re not just meeting demand, we’re reshaping expectations.

This project is a full expression of Clayco’s integrated model and our promise to build with purpose. From EV infrastructure and high-performance energy strategies to diverting over 80% of construction waste, 220 N. Ada is setting a new standard.

You can feel the momentum on site. Our team has windows fully installed, elevators running, and rooftop finishes underway—including trees already in place on Level 29’s terrace. Inside, the lobby and amenity spaces are progressing fast, drywall and paint are moving up through the tower, and permanent power is scheduled to go live by the end of June. These are the behind-the-scenes moments that bring the big picture to life.

But this building isn’t just about structure—it’s about community. Over 12,000 square feet of activated ground-floor retail will energize the corner of Ada and Fulton, anchoring this tower in the life of the neighborhood. It’s not just where people will live—it’s where they’ll connect, create, and thrive.

We’re on pace for delivery in early 2026. And we’re proud—not just of what we’re building, but of what it stands for: bold vision, relentless innovation, and a deep belief in what cities—and people—can become.
