A Year of AI at Clayco

Innovation and technology has always been an advantage for Clayco since day one.

In 1984 when we started Clayco I went out and bought a FAX machine. Then I had to call all my friends to get one so we could send copies to each other. The next big technology move was in 1985 when we launched an IBM 3600 machine and loaded all of our accounting and tracking software getting ahead of event the largest builders in the country. Within a few years we mobilized "Framework" and built an early network of connected computers (with wires hanging from the ceilings) when we were still in start-up mode.

I credit our early mindset, stay ahead or get left behind, to much of our growth and superior customer service even today. In the last couple years we launched ChatGPT (we have over 600 users) and now are utilizing each of the largest tech companies AI tools to stay ahead of the curve. I use these tools every day for everything and coach our team if they want to stay with Clayco they have to stay ahead and use AI as a personal competitive advantage. It helps us move faster and get better work done for our customers.

Clayco leaders like Jeff Miller, Clayco CIO, and Ryan McGuire, President of Clayco Compute, have made AI a part of our culture, while still empowering people.Check out what a year of AI has done for Clayco.
