What an unforgettable night in San Diego! Sir Elton John lit up Petco Park with a legendary performance, but the real spotlight was on the mission behind it all.
Team Clayco was proud to be a major sponsor of Curebound’s Concert for Cures, a packed-house event that raised an astounding $11.5 million to accelerate lifesaving cancer research. The energy of 27,000 supporters united in one space, all rallying behind a cause bigger than ourselves, was nothing short of inspiring.
Concert for Cures is Curebound’s signature event, raising money and awareness for pioneering cancer research. Since 2022, it has brought in over $8.5 million to fund early-stage adult and pediatric cancer research at leading Southern California institutions. Past headliners include Alicia Keys and Ed Sheeran, who performed to sold-out crowds.
I was fortunate to share this experience with Jane, Clayco’s Ryan McGuire, and more of our incredible team members and friends. Kudos to my longtime friend Bill Koman, Co-Founder of Curebound, whose leadership continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cancer research.
Curebound’s vision is bold and urgent. With $43 million invested in cancer research and 142 innovative research grants underway among southern California’s best research institutions, the nonprofit is advancing groundbreaking work in immunotherapies, pediatric cancer, and closing care disparities. As much as Curebound has already accomplished, its work is far from finished.
Committed to investing $100 million into collaborative cancer research, Curebound is fast-tracking that research into cures for patients. As a result, the team is creating a future where every patient has access to hope, options, and support.
At Clayco, we believe building goes far beyond steel and stone—it’s about creating impact Beyond These Walls, shaping lives, advancing purpose, and unlocking possibility. That’s why we’re proud to uplift Curebound on its mission to bring the world closer to cures.
Let’s keep working toward a tomorrow where no one has to hear the words: “You have cancer.”
