From a Hand-Drawn Logo to a Culture of Safety
From a hand-drawn logo in 1984 to a national leader, Bob Clark reflects on Clayco’s growth, safety-first culture, and the values that built a lasting company.

Two years ago, we leaned in to help our people tackle student loans tied to predatory lenders. What we found is something every business should pay attention to.
Student loan debt in the United States now stands at $1.7 trillion. It is not abstract. It sits in the offices, on the job sites, and in the conference rooms where we work every day.
At Clayco, we made a decision to treat this as a shared responsibility. Not just something individuals carry on their own.
The impact has been real. We have accelerated 655 years of repayment. We have invested $1 million into our people. 50 employees are now completely debt free.
Helping students matters. But what matters just as much is showing that businesses can step in and make a difference. My hope is that more companies see what is possible and decide to do the same.
