Last week, volunteers from Clayco, LJC, and CRG took part in Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s Women Build Day 2025. Our team members helped build affordable homes for women-led households in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.

Women Build brings together volunteers and future homeowners to work side by side. It’s about creating access to ownership through real effort. Our teams took on framing, site prep, and other tasks that moved the homes, and this mission, forward.

This isn’t symbolic work. It’s a practical response to the barriers women still face in securing safe, affordable housing. And it’s a reminder that progress happens when people show up and put in the work.

Women Build is about raising more than walls. It’s about creating space for women to lead and own their future.
