The Future Is Taking Shape on the South Side
The Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park is transforming a historic South Side steel mill into a global center for quantum computing, innovation, and economic growth.
I am proud that every one of our employees at Clayco is committed to producing top-quality work across the country. Although we don’t do what we do to win awards, it’s always great to be recognized for the work that we do.
Our Blue Origin Engine Facility project has been named Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) Best of the Best winners for 2020. We were already named Best of Manufacturing for the Southeast, and now have won the same category for the entire country.

The 400,000 square foot Blue Origin Engine Facility was an exciting project for us. It will go on to house crucial tools and equipment for the manufacturing of the Blue Origin rocket engines. It’s great to say that Clayco has played a part in the mission to continue space exploration and even a trip to Mars.
Being selected by the ENR is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in the Blue Origin Engine Facility project. Starting with a terrific safety record this project brought all of our scheduling, design and engineering, and fast track construction scheduling to the forefront. Clayco is really reinventing the way the industry approaches every aspect of building.
