ENTEK Groundbreaking for $1.5 Billion Production Facility

Electric vehicle manufacturing is a pivotal step toward pioneering newer, greener frontiers - and Clayco and ENTEK are at the forefront!

ENTEK, the only US-owned and operated manufacturer of wet-process lithium-ion battery separators, has made its single largest investment to date. On September 6th, the company broke ground on a $1.5 billion separator plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, and chose our Clayco team to design and build it.

Governor Holcomb, U.S. Rep. Bucshon, and other officials and stakeholders joined to commemorate the 1.4 million-square-foot facility that will produce lithium-ion battery components to serve the growing EV industry. The plant will produce enough supply material for approximately 1.4 million vehicles annually and generate over 640 high-wage roles by the end of 2027.

Investing in facilities like this creates momentum toward developing secure and reliable domestic battery supply chains and a pathway to urgent climate goals and standards. Our ENTEK and Clayco teams are dedicated to enriching lives through sustainable initiatives, top-tier products, cutting-edge smart services, and a strong commitment to the people we serve.

I look forward to seeing how this facility will positively impact the local community, economy, and beyond.
