Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies. It allows me to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, all while immersing myself in different cultures and spaces. I had an incredible time on a recent trip abroad with my wife Jane, where we ventured to Venice, Italy, Croatia, and Montenegro.
We had an enjoyable time in Venice, crossing bridges and watching the gondolas glide through the city’s waterways. You can’t go wrong with rich culture and even richer food!
Next, I was able to satisfy my love for mountain climbing while in Dubrovnik by scaling the Srđ just behind the walled city. I saw the stone cross and Fort Imperial at the top – a defensive structure built by the French in 1810 during the Napoleonic Wars.
Montenegro was filled with old friends and new! Jane and I loved spending time in Montenegro with my good friend Bob Wislow and our hostess and friend, Milena Pejović. It was also great to see the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, whom I previously had the pleasure of meeting at Expo 2020 Dubai. We promised to visit, and the pleasure was ours! Montenegro is on the move, and I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful and scenic country!
Every time I return from my travels, I’m inspired by shared experiences and knowledge. I can’t wait for the next adventure!
