The Most Important Word
A reflection on community, leadership, and the power of “we” after a devastating St. Louis tornado. Bob Clark shares Larry’s inspiring story of showing up, helping others, and building hope one simple act at a time.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my good friend, George Paz, former Express Scripts chairman and CEO, who passed away yesterday.
In business I often say, “all I want is what I want when I want it.” George Paz was even more demanding than that. He wanted it, he wanted it to be perfect, he wanted it right now, and he wanted to know as much about the details as anyone. He was demanding, smart, no nonsense, and incredibly passionate.
His longtime colleague, Tim Wentworth, said it best: “An unthinkable loss.” George made a significant impact in St. Louis through his leadership and philanthropic work.
My thoughts are with Melissa, the Paz family, his fellow Board Members, the many colleagues he worked with, and all of our many mutual friends.
He was very loved and will be very missed.
