Clayco is working to lighten the debt load for student loan borrowers!

This past year, I asked our team what was on their minds. I learned that many people have crushing student debt, much of it from predatory lenders, that is impacting their credit, ability to get ahead, and also their focus on work. Student loans are an incredible burden for millions of Americans, both financially and emotionally.

We listened closely and are acting quickly on multiple fronts to find solutions.

That’s why we are thrilled to announce that we have heard our team loud and clear and will be implementing a Student Loan Repayment Assistance Plan!

To address and help mitigate this widespread issue, we are rolling out a groundbreaking program designed to provide supplemental relief to those in our Clayco family with student loans. Our goal is to reduce the long-term burden by accelerating their repayment time frame.

This assistance plan is not just about financial aid – it's about providing peace of mind and the freedom to focus on the future without the looming worry of student debt. In addition, we will continue to engage with federal politicians and leaders about broader programs to reduce the financial burdens student loans present and use our voices to shine a light on the people who are profiting from this horrible predatory practice.

We are watching closely as the Biden Administration is also moving forward in its attempt to forgive student debt for federal borrowers after the Supreme Court struck down its initial plan. The administration’s draft regulation proposal outlines what the new forgiveness rules would look like and who is eligible. As Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a press release, student loans are supposed to be a bridge to a better life, not a life sentence of endless debt.
