Pavilions

Expo 2020 Dubai changed how I see the world by gaining insight into each nation’s message and attributes. Some countries focused on politics, policies, technologies, and partnerships, while others were dedicated to tourism and investment opportunities. Even though each pavilion was represented by people from various backgrounds, we often found that we had more similarities than differences.

The Expo highlighted the importance of understanding the different viewpoints related to controversial subjects that our planet faces. I examined leadership on urgent issues like climate, space, food security, and health with other global leaders and visitors. We respectfully listened to each other’s experiences and worked to fight the extremism that divides our world.

USA Pavilion

The USA Pavillion welcomed visitors to experience Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Future. One of our biggest goals at the Expo was to share America’s spirit of freedom with millions from around the world. Leading the USA Pavilion gave me the opportunity to discuss our country’s core values and how they have shaped our nation’s history as well as my own story. From the perspective of someone who has lived the American dream in every way, it was incredible to share why American-born technology will continue to make the world safer, more economically stable, and showcase our cultural diversity.

World Pavilions

The UAE did a wonderful job hosting the Expo and introducing Emirati culture to international visitors. I had the chance to stop by all of the pavilions including Morocco, Switzerland, Germany, France, and so many other nations. This innovative, global event allowed for meaningful dialogue to take place among leaders that can help propel our world toward positive change. It was incredible to experience and learn about each country’s individual values, goals, and cultures.
