Clayco and Lamar Johnson Collaborative are using our integrated approach to support higher education!
Our teams are working on a joint venture with Poettker Construction and Christner Architects to develop the new Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s (SIUE) 176,000-square-foot health sciences building. The facility will accommodate the School of Pharmacy and the School of Nursing with ample space for offices, academic classrooms, labs, and more. The project will help students achieve the university’s vision of empowering individuals to reach their full potential through academia and innovative programs.
Governor J.B. Pritzker recently spoke at the Morris University Center at SIUE about the $109 million complex and its significance to Illinois’ progress in advancing student access to pivotal resources. Governor Pritzker also promoted his proposed FY24 budget and aim to increase education funding and record Monetary Award Program grants. Governor Pritzker’s bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital plan is the largest in state history.
SIUE is a great school that fosters a student-centered educational community dedicated to sharing, expanding, and integrating knowledge. Education is the key to unlocking the most essential and creative solutions to enable a brighter future for all. The university project is slated for completion in Summer 2025, and I look forward to witnessing the new facility's impact on the students and campus community.
Our Clayco brand family values projects like this that allow us to lend a hand in constructing pathways for people to realize their dreams.
Let’s keep building the blocks of a better tomorrow!
