Steven S. Wymer Hall

Clayco was built on the foundation of being a culture that inspires – whether within the walls of our organization or across the communities where we live and operate. We continue to build on this foundation with each new project, like the 100,000-square-foot Steven S. Wymer Hall at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign!

This center is the eighth project our team has built on the university’s campus and our fifth as a JV with Turner. LMN Architects and Booth Hansen Architects are the architecture firms for this project. Our companies share the values of building what matters and working to make a difference in the lives of people, customers, and communities everywhere.

Located on Gregory Drive between the Business Instructional Facility and Huff Hall, this state-of-the-art building will enable learners to achieve their full potential. Wymer Hall will prepare Illinois students for futures of purpose and impact.

The four-story building includes a 200-seat auditorium, two 80-seat classrooms, and four 60-seat classrooms to accommodate growth and rapidly expanding programs. Plenty of collaborative rooms and spaces will be available for experiential learning, group work, meetings with recruiters, and more.

We understand our work goes beyond the walls of the structures we build, and this development will assist students with navigating their campus, career, and lives. The facility aims to serve undergraduate and graduate students, both residential and online, as well as faculty and staff.

Wymer Hall is expected to be completed by early 2025, and I can’t wait to see how this development transforms the university’s campus and the lives of its students. Let’s keep leading the next generation of innovators toward success by building spaces for achievement and growth!
